    Senior Researcher

Netflix · Studio Insights, within Consumer Insights · supporting the Marketing Tooling team

A philosophy question about artwork turns into a three-season run.

    • Owned the research on how members judge the quality of title artwork, clips and trailers, and synopses: the assets that fill the Netflix screen and help millions of members choose.
    • Worked with creatives, product and data science to define what “quality” means, internally and to members, then fed the findings to teams building AI tools that automate asset creation.
    • Helped shape the content in Netflix’s vertical video feed, including decisions on new content types that audiences won’t see for a little while.
    • Ran 20+ mixed-methods studies on the internal tools and workflows teams use to launch titles, and built interactive dashboards for recurring CSAT surveys that gave stakeholders a baseline for annual roadmapping.
    • Turned qualitative projects around in under a week using unmoderated tools and AI-assisted analysis.

    Designer and builder

Plott · Personal project · live in beta at YourPlott.com

A journaling app that will not make claims about you without evidence.

    • Designed and built a cross-platform journaling app end to end, directing AI coding tools. An LLM turns free-text memories into validated structured data: people, places, life stages, personality signals and follow-up questions.
    • Specified the analysis layer, including a rule that patterns across memories are only shown with concrete, countable evidence, to avoid unfalsifiable personality claims.
    • Reviewed the codebase for privacy and security, and set consent for AI processing and encryption as launch requirements.
